In 1970 the small business turned into a joint-stock company and set-up a modern factory, also automating its production facilities. It strengthened its standing on the market and became an Italian leader in the production of Almond Milk Syrup (Nielsen source).
In the 90’s the business made its name on the market becoming the first company in southern Italy to produce a wide range of syrups and liqueurs.
SABA is renowned as a top quality producer of almond milk and flavoured syrups, bottling them in glass bottles of 50, 100 and 200 cl.; such quality is thanks to the use of prime selected raw materials and to the strict control of the production process, guaranteeing customers a balanced offer in terms of quality.
SABA, in observance of its founding traditions of artisanal business, has always dedicated great care and attention to the choice of the raw materials and of the ingredients used to produce its reference products, investing resources in research and innovation to ensure constant quality and also to offer the market genuine products that are well-known and highly valued, today just like in the past.
Over recent years, by amplifying its offer, SABA has introduced a ready-to-drink almond milk beverage and indeed on this market the company stands out from other businesses by offering new products that meet marketplace requirements in terms of the taste and quality of its products.
This range of ready-to-drink beverages in Tetra brick containers includes the "Traditional Almond milk" and the remarkably refreshing "Almond milk and mint" drink; a special "Gold Quality Almond milk" product followed, with high almond content to ensure a full body beverage of decisive taste, typical of the Mediterranean tradition.
It was indeed this latter type of product that in 2007 gave rise to the turning point that changed the company’s history forever; a commercial relationship was established between SABA and CO.DA.P. (a multinational enterprise specialising in the production of whipped cream in aerosol cans and other culinary products packaged in tetra brick containers).
This simple initial third party packaging activity of beverages was later backed by an industrial partnership between the two companies, which in 2008 lead to the acquisition of majority and controlling shareholdings in SABA by CO.DA.P; in 2009 this activity was completed with the transfer of the production line and offices of SABA to the industrial facilities of the group leader CO.DA.P. SpA in Marcianise (Caserta).
Already in September 2009, the organisational transformation of SABA commenced with the progressive and complete adoption of the operational “business” standards that have always distinguished the philosophy of the CO.DA.P. group.
